Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Health Fitness API ("Service"), provided by Dakidarts® ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

Description of Service

The Health Fitness API provides 89+ high-performance RESTful API endpoints for health, fitness, nutrition, metabolism, cardiovascular, and risk assessment calculations, including but not limited to:

  • Body Composition (BMI, Body Fat, FFMI, Lean Body Mass, Ideal Weight)
  • Metabolism & Energy (BMR, TDEE, Daily Caloric Needs, NEAT)
  • Heart & Cardiovascular (Heart Rate Zones, Blood Pressure Risk)
  • Nutrition & Diet (Protein, Macronutrients, Hydration, Sodium)
  • Performance & Training (VO2Max, Strength Benchmarks)
  • Risk & Health Assessment (Diabetes Risk, ABI, Energy Band Classification)

The Service is accessible via: - Direct platform: https://api.hefitapi.com (v1.0.0 – recommended, includes 35+ new endpoints and 8-language support) - RapidAPI marketplace (classic endpoints only)

API Access and Registration

Account Creation

To access the Service, you must:

  • Create an account via the HefitAPI Dashboard or RapidAPI
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your API keys
  • Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

API Keys and User Roles

  • Your API key is confidential and must not be shared
  • You are responsible for all activity under your API key
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • We may revoke API keys for Terms violations

Organization Roles (HefitAPI Platform only): - Admin: Full access – manage users, keys, billing, usage - Developer: Make API calls – usage billed to the Organization - Finance: Billing & credit top-ups only – no API access

Acceptable Use Policy

Permitted Uses

You may use the API to:

  • Build applications and services for personal or commercial use
  • Integrate health/fitness calculations into your products/apps
  • Cache API responses temporarily for performance optimization
  • Display API results to end users with appropriate disclaimers

Prohibited Uses

You may not:

  • Resell or redistribute the API as a standalone service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
  • Circumvent rate limits, quotas, or credit-based billing
  • Use the API for illegal, harmful, or fraudulent purposes
  • Scrape, harvest, or systematically download large volumes of data
  • Overload or attempt to disrupt the API infrastructure
  • Use the API to spam, harass, or violate others' privacy
  • Remove or obscure any attribution or copyright notices
  • Process protected health information (PHI) under HIPAA on our behalf (we are not a covered entity or business associate)
  • Use results for medical diagnosis, treatment, or advice without professional oversight

Subscription Plans and Pricing

Plan Types

  • HefitAPI Platform (Direct) — Credit-based: $0.0002555 USD per request (1 Credit = 1 request). Prepaid top-ups via Dashboard. No refunds except as required by law.
  • RapidAPI Marketplace — Subscription tiers (Basic, Pro, Ultra, Mega) with monthly fees and overage charges.

Enterprise options: private deployments, custom SLAs, volume pricing — contact enterprise@hefitapi.com.

Billing

  • HefitAPI: Prepaid credits; access throttled/suspended when depleted
  • RapidAPI: Managed through RapidAPI; subject to their billing terms
  • Prices subject to change with notice
  • You are responsible for applicable taxes

Rate Limits & Quotas

  • Respect rate limit headers and credit quotas
  • Exceeding limits may result in throttling, 429 responses, or suspension

Intellectual Property Rights

Ownership

  • We retain all rights to the API, documentation, formulas, and related materials
  • Protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws
  • "Dakidarts®" and "Health Fitness API" trademarks may not be used without permission

Your Content

  • You retain ownership of your application code and data submitted to the API
  • You grant us a limited license to process inputs ephemerally to provide responses

API Results

  • Results are for your use in applications
  • Bulk redistribution of raw data prohibited

Data Privacy and Security

We collect and process data as described in our Privacy Policy:

  • Account, billing, and usage information
  • Ephemeral API inputs (not stored post-response)
  • Industry-standard security measures

You must protect API keys and obtain end-user consents for any data sent to the API.

Service Availability and Support

  • We aim for high availability (enterprise SLAs available)
  • No uptime guarantee for standard/public tiers
  • Support: documentation, Dashboard, email (support@hefitapi.com)
  • Priority support for enterprise clients

We may modify features, endpoints, or pricing with notice (30 days for material changes).

Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

Service "As Is"

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED SERVICE.

Health & Fitness Disclaimer

API results (BMI, TDEE, risk scores, etc.) are informational/educational only. They are not medical, diagnostic, or treatment advice. Results may vary and are not guaranteed. Always consult qualified healthcare professionals before acting on any results.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO AMOUNTS PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dakidarts®, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use/misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations, non-payment, or at our discretion. Upon termination, cease all use; no refunds for prepaid credits/fees.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of The Republic of Cameroon, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Disputes shall first seek informal resolution; if unresolved, binding arbitration or courts as applicable.

General Provisions

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms + Privacy Policy
  • Severability, No Waiver, Assignment (we may assign; you may not without consent)
  • Force Majeure
  • Changes: Posted updates; continued use = acceptance

API-Specific Terms

  • Respect rate limits and implement retry/backoff logic
  • When displaying results publicly, consider attribution: "Powered by Health Fitness API" (optional but appreciated)

Third-Party Services

RapidAPI users subject to RapidAPI Terms. We are not responsible for third-party disruptions.
